Unscrewing the base to remove the red insulator tab for the velvet smooth electronic nail system to work, you then replace the base to proceed. The three nail care heads are each marked with a number on the back ranging from 1 to 3 to help you follow a nail routine. You can do a full manicure and pedicure or if you wish just select the brush head if your only wanting to buff and shine your nails.

The brush heads click into place and two speed settings are available: High setting for faster results, Lower setting for beginners for a gentler performance. The nail routine is as follows:

• Step 1. FILE: Gently file and shape the nail edge. File toenails straight across to prevent ingrowing toenails.
• Step 2. BUFF: Lightly buff the nails surface to gently smooth away any ridges. It is noted to not buff each nail more than 15 seconds every 2 weeks to avoid overuse.
