The ayumi facial day cream is designed to nourish, balance and influence radiance while the actives included in the formulation are ideal for age spots and pigmentation complexions. Combining anti-inflammatory tetrapeptide-30 a four amino acid peptide that can fade pigmentation but also inhibits the enzyme (tyrosinase) that produces melanin while also blocking the transfer to the top layers of the skin, the formulation also contains liquorice that contains the active called glabridin which also inhibits tyrosinase the enzyme that causes pigmentation. The cream is surprisingly lightweight in texture and glides over the skin easily, before absorbing quickly, to leave the skin feeling nourished from the emollients included though it does contain essential oils which can be sensitising to reactive skin types. Samples are always a welcomed addition to try and test before purchasing the full sized product and this one does not disappoint. The Dr Hauschka soothing day lotion is ideal for those who's complexion is prone to redness and for those who's skin feels tight and dry. The lightweight and silky texture is perfect for those who dont like heavy day creams or for those who find their complexion looks and feels overly oily by midday. Utilising botanical extracts and oils to balance moisture and oil content from the skin, the lotion is also a great product to apply before makeup application to prep the skin. I was quite impressed on how lightweight the formula feels while absorbing quickly but it still nourishes the skin perfectly during the day. It does contain Parfum* and Citronellol*, Linalool*, Geraniol*, Citral*, Eugenol*, Farnesol*, and Limonene* - from *natural essential oils that can oxidise on air exposure and cause skin sensitisation to reactive or sensitive skin types. Turning the dial at the bottom will move the formula up out of the packaging while the shape (reminds me of a tear drop) ensures easy application to the face, decollete and hands.
