I haven't experienced any side effects but i do think because i am a regular retinol user my skin has become tolerant overtime, it is always important when using any retinol (Vitamin A) to start using it slowly for you then to achieve the goal of applying it every day. I did experiment with the application and applied a hydrating serum before applying this product and found that sometimes the smoothing serum did greet me with the annoying pillage and balling off from the dimethicones in the formulation, but when applying a moisturiser or more importantly a sunscreen (always use SPF protection) over the top this didn't happen. I really do like this smoothing serum product because it offers a brighter complexion because of the mild exfoliation it provides, protection and support from the antioxidants and the peptide included, whilst you cant argue with the scientific research retinol provides and benefits the skin.
