Sukin Hydration Biomarine Facial Serum 30ml.
Replenish dehydrated skin when applying the Australian made Sukin Hydration Biomarine Facial Serum 30ml. Depletion of the skin's water content can occur due to many factors such as changes in the environment (weather conditions), lifestyle choices, and even using hot water to cleanse your skin can contribute. Dehydration is different to a dry skin condition that is inherited, a dehydrated skin can easily be improved by drinking water, eating rich water-based fruits/veg, and using a serum that contains humectants before applying your moisturiser and sunscreen for improvement.
What Is Inside The Sukin Hydration Biomarine Facial Serum 30ml?
The concentrated serum features an active blend of Sea Algae, Hyaluronic Acid, and a Maize Complex to deeply hydrate the skin after 3 hours. Serums are a great skincare product to incorporate into your skincare routine because they deliver active ingredients into the deeper layers of the skin to address specific skin conditions. Featuring natural ingredients the Biomarine Facial Serum contains the following:
Water (Aqua) - Solvent for ingredients.
Glycerin - Skin identical ingredient that provides moisturisation and humectant actions. Supports the skin barrier function and helps maintain skins health by protecting against irritations.
Hydroxyethylcellulose - Helps to thicken up formulations to create gel-like products and give a nice slip feeling on application, derived from cellulose.
Saccharide Isomerate (Maize Complex) - 100% natural and plant-derived moisturiser/humectant that binds to the skin to keep it hydrated for longer.
Sodium Hyaluronate - The salt form is a skin identical ingredient that acts as a sponge to help the skin hold onto water by acting as a moisturiser and humectant.
Ascophyllum Nodosum Extract (Kelp) - The gold standard out of all the seaweeds, it contains bioactive components alginic acid, ascorbic acid, carotenoids, cobalamin (vitamin B12, Vit C, B1, B2, B3, B6, E, H, K3.) fucoidans, laminarins. It acts as an antioxidant, promotes a healthier complexion, and helps normalise the natural moisture barrier in the skin cells to keep the skin hydrated.
Tocopherol (Vitamin E) - Antioxidant while also having emollient properties that helps protect the skin from free radicals.
Coco-Caprylate - Emollient that provides the skin with a soft and smooth feel and helps the product glide over the skin on application.
Cetearyl Olivate - Natural emulsifier that helps water and oil blend, this also is an active ingredient that moisturises and supports the barrier function of the skin.
Sorbitan Olivate - The same function as the ingredient above.
Fragrance (Parfum)* - *Natural Fragrance.
Citric Acid - Buffering to adjust the pH of a formulation and is a weaker form of an AHA like lactic or glycolic acid.
Sodium Citrate - Buffering to adjust the pH of a formulation and also helps the product to stay nice for longer by "Chelating" neutralizing the metal ions in the formula that can usually occur from the water ingredient.
Ethylhexylglycerin - Preservative that Boosts the effectiveness of phenoxyethanol while being a spreadable emollient.
Phenoxyethanol - Preservative to keep the product useable for longer.
Benzyl Alcohol - Preservative to help the product be useable for longer.
Limonene**, Citral**, Linalool** - **Component of Natural Fragrance - Perfuming ingredients that can oxidise with the air and can become an allergen/skin sensitiser.
How To Use The Sukin Hydration Biomarine Facial Serum 30ml?
Presented in Sukin's classic recyclable packaging, you will find a brown glass bottle with a pump dispenser for easy applications. Applying in the morning after you have cleansed your skin, i like to apply any serum to damp skin to boost the serums effectiveness while capturing that surface moisture that is present. The serum appears to be much thicker in texture than a water serum so it does not run or drip away from you, which i find helps with an even coverage when applying over the face and neck. I can smell a citrus fragrance on application but it soon fades when you gently pat and press the serum into the skin and then waiting 1 minute for full absorption. I do like how the light serum leaves the skin feeling silky smooth and hydrated without leaving the skin feeling sticky or looking shiny and you can then apply your current skincare products knowing this is helping dehydrated thirsty skin.
